How to Enter the Show / Register for the Trail Ride

Follow these instructions to successfully enter the AQHA Region 8 Championship Horse Show:

1. Show Eligibility Determine if you and your horse are eligible to show. Read the eligibility requirements in the back of this booklet to determine if you and your horse can show. AQHA points are not awarded at Regional Shows.
2. Trail Ride Fill out box #4 on the "Official Entry Form" for each horse going on the ride. There will be a 100 horse limit, so pre-registration and payment are required along with a current coggins. This will be an all breed trail ride.
3. Entry Form Fill out an "Official Entry Form" for each horse you plan on showing, listing each AQHA member that will be showing the horse. Make a copy of each horse’s AQHA Registration Papers, current Coggins, and the AQHA memberships of the owner and exhibitors.
4. Class Entry Form For each horse and rider combination list the classes being entered on the "Class Entry Form". This is not needed for the trail riders.
5. Stalls If you wish to reserve stalls, fill out the "Stall Reservation Form" listing who will be occupying the stalls you are paying for. Do not duplicate stall reservations. Please pay for stalls at the time you reserve them.
6. Entry Deadline The "Official Entry Form" (with copies of your papers), "Entry Form", "Stall Reservation Form", must be postmarked by April 18, 2008 or you will be charged a one time late fee of $15/horse. Late entries will be taken (with late fee) until four classes prior to the class you are entering. Do not mail after April

Mail entries to Region 8 Championship Show, 29530 County Rd Y • La Junta, CO • 81050 . Do not send any late entries or stall reservations to La Junta after April 18th (bring them to the show). If you would like to enter classes after April 18th, bring paperwork and entry fees to the show at least 4 classes prior to the class you are entering. Management is not responsible for lost or late entries.
